NuFolk Rebel Alliance re-imagines John Lennon's "Working Class Hero" on its 50th anniversary

Originally written and released October/December of 1970, John Lennon's 'Working Class Hero' has been re-imagined by NYC's NuFolk Rebel Alliance into a different kind of anthem, NuFolk style. The border-crossing duo mixes global folkloric musics - acoustic americana, afro-indigenous musica latina, gypsy old country - with a rebellious attitude and minimalist dubs. Following their full-length LP 'Tribute to the Clash' and 2019 tours supporting Che Sudaka and Gogol Bordello, the NuFolk Rebels are releasing their version of Working Class Hero on its 50th anniversary, the message ringing louder than ever.
